On the morning of January 2, 2018 HVS Company solemnly held the New Year Celebration and launch the safe implementation in 2018.
At the ceremony, Mr. Go Jin Young President gave a speech summarizing the business performance in 2017 and the plan for 2018. In 2017, thanks to the efforts of Leaders and employees, our company has delivered 8 vessels, reaching sales of $313 million. Despite the stagnation of the shipbuilding industry and the loss of Damrey Typhoon, we overcame all difficulties, promptly corrected the problem, and make company back to normal operation. In 2018, the company's business target was $408 million (+ 30% increase compared to last year). The number of deliveries was 15 (including 3 repairs due to typhoon).
2018 is a very important year, as a landmark for HVS's second jump. In order to successfully achieve the business target of 2018, the Director General Go Jin Young asks to make competition through innovation and continuously improve productivity and cost savings. Improve the educational programs to develop individual capabilities, improve safety and quality as well as production management technology, and in particular must build on the strengths to overcome difficuties.
