Steel Cutting Ceremony for Hull No. S408 - the first 50.000DWT Product Tanker
On May 24, 2013 at the Hull processing shop, Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard (HVS) held steel cutting ceremony for Hull No. S408, the first 50,000 DWT Class Product Tanker in series of four (04) vessels built for dâ€™Amico International Shipping S.A., Italia.
The representatives of Owner, Rina class, and Shipyard attended the ceremony. The representatives of Owner pressed the start button to cut the 1st steel plate, marking the beginning of a shipbuilding process.
As current production schedule, keel laying of Hull No. S408 will be in the end of September, and delivery in the middle of 2014.

Since starting shipbuilding business in 2008, HVS has successfully delivered 40 bulk carriers to the worldwide ship-owners.
