Steel Cutting Ceremony for Hull No. S085-the first 63000 DWT Bulk Carrier

On September 30, 2013 at the Hull Processing Shop, Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard (HVS) held Steel Cutting Ceremony for Hull No. S085, 63,000 DWT Bulk Carrier the first of series three (03) vessels built for Joong Ang Shipping Co., Ltd., Korea.

The representatives of Owner, KR, and Shipyard attended the ceremony. Mr. M. J. Lee, Site manager of Owner Site Team pressed the start button to cut the 1st steel plate corresponding to block No. B11, marking the beginning of a shipbuilding process.

As current production schedule, keel laying of Hull No. S085 will be in April, 2014, launching in July, and delivery in September of 2014.
The main particulars of the vessels are as follows:

• Breath : 32.26 m
• Depth : 18.7 m
• Cargo capacity : abt 76200 m3
• Speed : 14.15 knots
