On 05 January 2012, Delivery Signing Ceremony for M/V Arkadia having Hull No. S042 was held at HVS main office under the attendance of representatives from Owner and Yard.

At the ceremony, on the behalf of HVS, Mr. Y. H. Lee, President & CEO, signed the delivery documents with Mr. Markus Karjalainen– President of ESL Shipping Ltd, Finland.

M/V “Arkadia” is the first in the series of the two 56,000 DWT Bulk Carriers contracted with owner under the classification of DNV.
In spite of the depression in the ship building market as well as global economy crisis, Hyundai – Vinashin has made efforts to build and delivery the vessel in accordance with DNV Class and Ship Owner’s strict requirements. Owner highly appreciated the Yard’s effort and long –term cooperation between both companies.

After the delivery, the vessel will start her first voyage to Vancouver, Canada.
