Naming Ceremony for Hull No. S043

On 18 May 2012, Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard (HVS) held a significant Naming Ceremony for Hull No. S043 with the attendance of representatives from owner, Ambassador of Finland, DNV and the Yard.

Hull No. S043 was built with advanced features and modern maritime technologies meeting all the requirements of international level and satisfying our customer.
At the ceremony, the wonderful vessel was officially named: “Kumpula” by gracious Sponsor, Mrs. Anja Arteva with her blessing of bon voyage and prosperity.

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Choe Weon Gil, President & CEO of Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, expressed his gratitude to the owners and all who has involved to the project after 2 years cooperating under goodwill and mutual support.
From starting operation, HVS has delivered 23 new-built vessels to owners and still have 20 vessels under construction. HVS is confirming its ability on over the world, step by step becoming one of the reliable shipyards in the world.

Kumpula is the last dedicated bulk carrier contracted with ESL Shipping co., Ltd, Finland.
With a top speed of 14.5 knots, the subject vessel has an overall length of 189m, breadth of 32.26m, depth of 18.5m and 5 cargo holds.

As scheduled, the Kumpula will be delivered to owner at the end of May, 2012.
