The 8th national campaign on safety, industrial hygiene & fire, explosion prevention organized in Khanh Hoa province was carefully prepared over 2 months ago. As an enterprise in heavy industry field, HVS responded actively and prepared carefully for this campaign. In the afternoon of 18-Mar-2006, carriages decorated with flowers and 100 employees of the Company along with other enterprises participated in the parade at 2/4 Square, Nha Trang. After the speech of Vice-Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hang – Minister of Labour, War Invalids & Social Affairs Ministry, the carriages decorated with flowers, flag, and banners of enterprises & Trade Union in & out of Khanh Hoa province marched along main streets in Nha Trang city.
The national week on safety, industrial hygiene & explosion prevention is an annual activity implemented since 1999. The Ministry of Labour, War Invalids & Social Affairs selects a province as the host with aim at launching propagandic campaign widely to levels, organizations, and enterprises that get high risk of labour accident, fire-explosion, and occupational diseases; promoting the activities to improve working conditions, prevent labour accident, occupational diseases, and explosion forward to build “stable labour safety culture”.
On the occasion of the national week on safety, industrial hygiene & explosion prevention, in the morning of 18-Mar-2006, under instruction of Labour, War Invalids & Social Affairs Ministry, Khanh Hoa province organized to visit and give gifts for families of victims of labour accident. HVS delegation led by the representatives of Vietnam Labour General Federation along with Khanh Hoa Labour Department, Khanh Hoa TV Station, Khanh Hoa Press …visited and gave gifts to 17 families whose relatives died or were injured with 31% of disablement because of labour accident from 2001 to now. Besides, HVS also gave for each family 500,000 VND.
Within the scope of the national week, the competition on safety, industrial hygiene & explosion prevention for enterprises on Khanh Hoa area was organized by Khanh Hoa Labour Federation on 19-Mar-2006 with aim at exchanging experience, improving the effect of preventing labour accident and explosion for enterprises.
In order to respond to the national week warmly, in the morning of 21-Mar-2006, HVS organized a propagandizing campaign, meeting in the shipyard with attendance of Mr. Le Bach Hong – Deputy Minister of Labour, War Invalids & Social Affairs Ministry, Mr. Le Xuan Than – Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, Mr. Phan Thong – Director of Khanh Hoa Labour Department, and the representatives of Khanh Hoa fire prevention forces, the BOD and all of employees of the shipyard. By participating warmly in the above activities, HVS showed determination to build safety working site without labour accident, contributing to the shipyard’s stable development.
