Implementing the task of safety, labour hygiene under Labour Code, from 17-Apr to 20-Apr-2006, Khanh Hoa Preventive Medicine Center along with Nha Trang Pasteur Institute surveyed working environment in order to evaluate working environment reality at HVS. This is an annual activity with aim at carrying out strictly the Government’s stipulations concurrently ensuring rights for the laborers
The surveying mission includes PhD. Vien Chinh Chien, Dr. Truong Cong Luan, Technician Phạm Thanh Tung from Nha Trang Pasteur Institute; Dr. Pham Tuyen, Dr. Dao Xuan Binh, Dr. Huynh Van Hoa, Engineer Vo Hong Van, Nguyen Chi and physician Huynh Thi Ngoc Anh from Khanh Hoa Preventive Medicine Center. HVS side includes Mr. Seong Soo Ha – General Manager of S/H Dep’t, Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Manager of S/H Dep’t, Engineer Diep Nhat Hoa, and Dr. Dang The Vinh.
During working time, the surveying mission took many samples on environmental factors including light, microclimate, heat radiation, concentration of dust, noise, shake, magnetic field electric, radioactive, toxic gas, water in various places such as quay, the bottom of dry dock # 2, workshops, Oxygen and Acetylene producing zone, material warehouse, chemical warehouse, and offices in the shipyard. Especially, on April 18th 2006, the mission carried out to take samples in both day-shift and night-shift in order to evaluate exactly environmental factors.
After 3 days of working at HVS, the surveying mission gave out the detail conclusion on working environment reality at HVS and suggested some solutions with aim at bettering the working conditions and protecting health for laborers such as supervising actively the use of labour protection of employees, checking working environment frequently.
