Implementing Decision No. 372/QD-UBND of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee on mobilizing the month for food hygiene and safety in 2006, in the morning of April 27, 2006 Food Hygiene & Safety Inspection Delegation of Khanh Hoa Province inspected the task of food hygiene, safety at HVS.

The month for food hygiene and safety is an annual activity mobilized by the Prime Minister and Ministry of Health. This activity has been carried out since 1999 for the purpose of appealing the authorized organizations and the society to strictly implement stipulations on food hygiene and safety. This year, the month for food hygiene and safety starts from April 14, 2006 to May 15, 2006. Khanh Hoa People’s Committee directed the foundation of an inspection delegation to inspect the implementation of food hygiene and safety regulations at food processing factories, collective kitchens, restaurants… in the province.

The delegation of 20 members led by Doctor Phan Van Hiep – vice inspector in chief of Khanh Hoa Health Department - carried out inspection at 2 restaurants of HVS. The delegation concluded that material facilities at the 2 restaurants have been improved; the staffs are well-equipped with safety equipment and periodically examined health.

The delegation also appreciated the consideration of the Company BOD to employees’ life. Representatives of the Shipyard and the 2 restaurants promised to enhance to inspect the implementation of food hygiene and safety at the shipyard.
