At 18:30 on July 3, 2006, M/V Asian Empire – the first vessel of PCTC project – left Quay #3 of HVS, finishing the conversion period of 46 days, 2 days earlier than the schedule. Before delivery, Asian Empire had gone through 5 days of sea trial, and all the technical conditions had satisfied the ship owner – Car Carrier Incorporation, Korea. M/V Asian Empire was added a new mid-body of 28,8m in length, 32,26m in height, and 2,665 tons in weight, increasing its capacity from 6,402 units to 7,645 units.

Presently, HVS is carrying out final stage of preparation for elongation conversion of the second vessel M/V Asian Majesty which will arrive at the shipyard’s Quay on July 6, 2006.
