THE NAMING CEREMONY OF HN. S521 & S522

On the morning of August 22, 2023, HVS solemnly held the Naming Ceremony of HN. S521 & S522. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Kim Hyung Kwan – President of HMD, Mr. Lee Jong Chan – President of HVS, ship owner of Asiatic Lloyd (Singapore) and ABS registry (USA). Md. Audra Low - CEO of Clifford Capital named the vessel was S521 of Bantry Bay. The vessel S522 was named Herolds Bay by Md. Tan Beng Tee, Director of the Singapore Maritime Foundation.

These are 2 chemical tankers in the series of 6 vessels of Asiatic Lloyd. The vessel has a tonnage of 50,000 tons, a length of 183m, a width of 32.2m, height of 11m, the main engine of Hyundai, built in 12 months, is expected to be handed over at the end of September 2023.

Until August 2023, HVS has delivered 8/13 vessels according to the annual plan with a turnover of over 300 million USD, reaching 54% of the plan in 2023. Since moving to new shipbuilding until now, HVS has built new and handed over 162 vessels, of which 63% are chemical tankers with a tonnage of 37 to 115,000 tons to countries around the world.
