DELIVERY CEREMONY OF TWO OIL TANKERS NUMBERED S511 AND S524

On Jan 4 – Jan 5, 2024, Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding (HVS) held a delivery ceremony of two oil tankers numbered S511 and S524 to foreign partners.

 The vessel S511 is named Elandra Swift, and has a tonnage of 110,000 tons, Elandra company, Lloyd's registry, flies the Liberian flag. The vessel is 249.9m long, 42m wide, 13.6m high, and will be constructed in 13 months (from December 2022). The vessel S524 is called Mossel Bay, belonging to a series of 6 vessels of Asiatic Lloyd. The vessel has a tonnage of 50,000 tons, is 183m long, 32m wide, 11m high, carries the Singapore flag, and was constructed in 12 months.

 In 2023, HVS will lay keels for 13 vessels, hand over 12 vessels (including 2 vessels with a tonnage of 110,000 tons), revenue will reach 558 million USD, and pay 13 million USD to the budget. According to the plan, in 2024, HVS will lay keels 15 vessels and hand over 15 vessels, with revenue of 608 million USD, an increase of 9% compared to 2023.
