On 24/9/2007, Vinashin Group issued a decision to appoint Mr. Vu Minh Phu to first Vice President of HVS to replace Mr. Cao Thanh Dong who was appointed to Vice President of Dung Quat Shipyard.

On 8/10/2007, HVS held a farewell ceremony to say goodbye to Mr. Dong. Mr. Dong had expressed his deep feeling toward HVS and thanked the BOD and employees for supporting him during his term at HVS. He also wished all employees good health and HVS development to become one of the best shipyards in Southeast Asia.

Also from 8/10/2007 Mr. Vu Minh Phu has officially become HVS first Vice President. Mr. Vu Minh Phu was born in 1968 in Ha Tay, MS. of Hull major, former vice president of Dung Quat Shipyard.
